Le'Veon Moss 2026 NFL Draft Scouting Report for Miami Dolphins RB
The Miami Dolphins are reportedly signing Texas A&M RB Le'Veon Moss, per ESPN's Jeremy Fowler.
Le'Veon Moss is a talented running back with a three-down skill set to become an impact player and difference-maker for an NFL offense.
Moss does multiple things well, from catching passes out of the backfield to pass protection and being a volume runner.
Moss is a former 4-star recruit in the 2022 recruiting class. Last season, he was an All-SEC Second Team selection and rushed for 765 yards and ten touchdowns. He is currently sidelined with an injury suffered against Florida two weeks ago.

Where He Wins
2 of 5
- Gap scheme and downhill running concepts. Moss is a tough runner who excels when his shoulders are squared to the line of scrimmage, working downhill. He runs well behind his pads between the tackles. He powers through arm tackles and pushes piles with his strong leg drive.
- He has a nose for the endzone with 22 rushing touchdowns during his career. Moss is built for goal-line and short-yardage work on key downs. He has a compact build/frame to handle the physicality between the tackles. His feet rarely stop upon first contact.
- Moss has good short-area quickness and suddenness to take advantage of lanes opening quickly. He will accelerate quickly through lanes and climb into the second level of the defense.
- Moss understands how to get skinny/small to fit through a small crease at the line of scrimmage. He is a disciplined runner who stays on the designated run path. He will take what the defense gives him and get what his offensive line blocks up.
- He combines vision and patience as a runner. Moss is patient when pressing the line of scrimmage before hitting it with suddenness. He has the vision necessary for finding lanes between the tackles and adjusting his path if one gap closes.
Areas of Improvement
3 of 5
- Moss has a high and upright running style. He consistently limits his ability to convert speed-to-power and fall forward at the point of attack. He needs to run with a lower pad level and a forward lean to dish out punishment on second- and third-level defenders.
- His top-end speed is questionable. Despite his track and field background as a sprinter, Moss' top speed does not allow him to rip off big, explosive plays down the field. He is caught from behind more times than you'd like to see.
- His balance is susceptible to shoestring and fingertip tackles. Moss has lost balance before breaking away from the defense due to inconsistent balance. If he improves this aspect of his game, it will result in bigger plays.
- Battled injuries consistently through college.
