Dodgers' Shohei Ohtani's Historic HR Ball Estimated to be Worth '$3M or More'
For the low cost of $3 million, you might be able to purchase one of the three baseballs Shohei Ohtani hit as part of his historic performance for the Los Angeles Dodgers in Game 4 of the National League Championship Series against the Milwaukee Brewers.
David Kohler of SCP Auctions told TMZ Sports that he would expect any of the three home-run balls hit by Ohtani in the game that clinched the Dodgers' spot in the World Series would sell for "$3 million or more" at auction.
Ohtani reached base in each of his four plate appearances, going 3-for-3 with three solo homers and a walk. He also struck out 10 in six shutout innings as the Dodgers starting pitcher.

The performance was immediately considered arguably the greatest individual game by a player in MLB history. Ohtani was the 12th player ever to hit at least three homers in a postseason game. He is also the only pitcher with at least 10 strikeouts and no runs allowed in a pennant-clinching playoff game.
"The market is primed to capitalize on the crowning achievement of the most dominant athlete in the world today," Kohler said to TMZ.
At least one of the balls Ohtani hit is expected to be put up for sale. David Flores told Josh Peter of USA Today he caught the third homer and is going to sell the historic item because he has "a 12-year-old son and his college is in his future."
If any of the balls go to auction, the potential $3 million price tag wouldn't be the most expensive Ohtani ball ever sold. The ball from his 50th homer last season that made him the first player to ever go 50-50 sold for $4.4 million in October 2024.
