Sirianni Reacts to Eagles' Win, 'Can't Let Anything Zap Your Joy or Steal Your Focus'
There was plenty of panic in Philadelphia after the team followed a 4-0 start with two straight losses against the Denver Broncos and New York Giants.
That panic wasn't shared within the team itself, or from head coach Nick Sirianni
"You're not in control of what anyone thinks," he told SI.com's Albert Breer after Sunday's 28-22 win over the Minnesota Vikings. "You are only in control of what you think. All [the noise] does is distract you from getting better, finding ways to win and finding ways to get better. What distracts you? If that's something that distracts you then do whatever you need to block it out. You can't let anything zap your joy or steal your focus. I think you see that in the best teams. They are mentally focused to get better every single week. They are mentally focused on the process every single week. Not necessarily the things they can't control."

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
That doesn't mean that there aren't concerns for the Birds.
The run game has been shockingly mediocre this season after being so dominant a year ago, with Saquon Barkley only rushing for 369 yards and three touchdowns through seven games. The offense, in general, has been a bit sporadic, prone to both scoring outbursts and long droughts. The team is hurting for depth and impact off the defensive edge. The Eagles have a fantastic No. 1 corner in Quenyon Mitchell and excellent slot corner in Cooper DeJean, but the second outside spot remains a concern.
But the Eagles have now put together wins over the Dallas Cowboys, Kansas City Chiefs, Los Angeles Rams, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Vikings, all solid to very good teams. The schedule has been rough and the Birds have navigated it, all while minimizing distractions and keeping their joy.
