Angel Reese's Brother Julian Signs Raptors Contract After Lakers Summer League Stint
The Toronto Raptors have signed former Maryland forward Julian Reese, brother of Chicago Sky star Angel Reese, ahead of the 2025-26 season.
The deal is an Exhibit 10 contract, per Sportsnet's Michael Grange. That indicates Reese will likely be waived and start the season with the G League's Raptors 905.

The 22-year-old spent this offseason with the Los Angeles Lakers after signing a Summer League contract as an undrafted free agent. He posted eight total points in two summer appearances.
Reese was a three-year starter at Maryland. Although he didn't attempt a single three-pointer over that span, Reese became a top rebounder who contributed more than 13 points per game in each of his final two college seasons.
He closed out his Maryland career averaging 13.3 points on 55.5 percent shooting from the field, adding 9.0 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1.5 blocks per game while helping the Terrapins make it to the Sweet 16 for the first time in nine years.
Reese left the Terps ranked second in program history with 1,015 career rebounds and 20th with 1,488 career points.
His signing comes the day after the Raptors waived AJ Lawson, Ulrich Chomche, Jared Rhoden, David Roddy and Olivier Sarr to cut the roster down to 14 players.
Those moves left the Raptors with one two-way spot remaining, although Grange's report indicates that will not go to Reese.
Exhibit 10 deals can become standard minimum one-year contracts if kept on the 15-man roster past the regular season start, but they also include a bonus for players who are waived and assigned to the G League.
Reese could be on track to join the Raptors 905 before the team tips off the 2025-26 season on Nov. 7 against the Atlanta Hawks' G League affiliate, the College Park Skyhawks.
