New Balance showed off a player-exclusive colorway of the popular Hesi V2 sneaker Thursday ahead of Dallas Mavericks star rookie Cooper Flagg's upcoming NBA regular-season debut.

ESPN's Nick DePaula posted photos on X of the shoe, which is white with green accents:

New Balance also posted a video of Flagg showcasing the sneakers:

The colors are meant to represent Flagg's hometown of Newport, Maine, and the 2025 No. 1 overall draft pick commented on the importance of the shoe in an official press release:

"I'm taking the next step in my career, but I'm always going to be a product of my hometown in Maine. Working with the New Balance design team on this has been really cool and it allows me to take a piece of Newport with me as I step onto the court for my first official NBA game."

The 18-year-old forward enters the NBA on the heels of one dominant collegiate season at Duke.

In his only campaign with the Blue Devils, Flagg averaged 19.2 points, 7.5 rebounds, 4.2 assists, 1.4 blocks and 1.4 steals per game en route to being named National College Player of the Year.

It came as little surprise when the Mavs took him first overall in the draft, adding him to a veteran-laden roster that also includes Anthony Davis, Klay Thompson and the currently injured Kyrie Irving.

With Flagg joining a roster that is already talented, the Mavericks are widely expected to go from missing the playoffs last season to a potential contender in the Western Conference this season.

Flagg made a positive impression over his four preseason appearances for the Mavs, averaging 11.3 points, 4.5 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 1.3 steals in 21.8 minutes per contest.

Over the final two preseason games, Flagg played point guard, and Mavericks head coach Jason Kidd has not ruled out Flagg beginning the regular season as Dallas' starting point guard, per ESPN's Tim MacMahon.

Flagg will make his NBA regular-season debut on Oct. 22 when the Mavs host the San Antonio Spurs, which is the same date as the release of his exclusive Hesi V2 sneakers.
