Tyrese Haliburton Shares Emotional Video from 'Starting 5' Ahead of Release Date
Indiana Pacers star Tyrese Haliburton was featured in a new sneak peek from the upcoming second season of the Netflix series Starting 5.
Season 2, which is set to premiere Oct. 16, will feature Haliburton alongside Kevin Durant, Jaylen Brown, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Los Angeles Clippers guard James Harden.
"The year for me started very low. There was a lot of high highs, and then obviously the year didn't end the way that me, or any of our group, wanted it to," Haliburton said in the introduction to the teaser. "But I think there's a beauty in that."
The teaser went on to show Haliburton reacting to Pacers icon Reggie Miller praising his performance in the 2025 NBA Finals.
Miller was speaking about the Game 7 loss to Gilgeous-Alexander and the Oklahoma City Thunder, during which Haliburton suffered the Achilles injury that will sideline him for the 2025-26 season.
"There will never, ever be a question of a guy's heart, will, determination, his game. No one will ever second guess any decision that he ever makes again," Miller said about Haliburton. "He risked it all. He risked it all for a franchise, for a state, for an organization."
Haliburton was visibly emotional after watching the clip, which he said meant "a lot" to him.
"There's not many people that can say things to make me feel this way. So, that just shows how what he means to me and what this place means to me," Haliburton said.
The first season of Starting Five featured LeBron James, Jimmy Butler, Jayson Tatum, Domantas Sabonis and Anthony Edwards when it premiered last season. Season 2 is set to drop on Netflix on Oct. 2.
