Stephon Castle, Spurs Unveil New Statement Uniforms in Video, Photos Ahead of Season
Reigning NBA Rookie of the Year Stephon Castle helped the San Antonio Spurs pull back the curtain on their new Statement uniforms ahead of the 2025-26 season.
The jerseys are silver with black lettering, and they feature a "San Antonio" wordmark across the chest. Setting aside the yearly City Edition threads, this is the first time since 1988-89 the Spurs opted to put their home city rather than their nickname one of their primary uniforms.
Expectations are high for the team despite losing 48 games in 2024-25.
Star center Victor Wembanyama is back healthy, and he spent a portion of his offseason working with Hall of Famer Hakeem Olajuwon toย refineย his offensive game. The Spurs should benefit from having De'Aaron Fox for a full season as well.
In addition, head coach Mitch Johnson will be hopeful Castle can take another step forward following an encouraging debut campaign. The 6'6" guard averaged 14.7 points and 4.1 assists, fully justifying his top-five status in the 2025 NBA draft.
Castle's inclusion in Monday's hype video is a reminder of how he's a cornerstone for San Antonio's long-term future.
The Spurs open the regular season on Oct. 22 against the Dallas Mavericks.
