Taylor Swift Denies Super Bowl Halftime Rumors, 'This Has Nothing to Do With Travis'
Taylor Swift has denied a report that she turned down an offer to perform at the Super Bowl Halftime Show.
Appearing on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon (starts at 18:21 mark), Swift explained there was no formal offer for her to perform at the event and her decision is not related to her fiancee, Travis Kelce, potentially playing in the game.
"This is nothing to do with Travis, he would love for me to do it. I'm just too locked in," said Swift.

Swift went on to say that her representatives are close with Jay-Z and the other people with Apple Music in charge of putting together the halftime show, but they never had any real discussions about the event.
"Jay Z has always been very good to me. Our teams are very close. They sometimes will call and say how does she feel about... and that's not an official offer or a conference room conversation. We're always able to tell him the truth, which is that I am in love with a guy who does that sport on that actual field."
NFL commissioner Roger Goodell said prior to the start of the season that the league "would always love" to have Swift play the Super Bowl Halftime Show.
"We would always love to have Taylor play. She is a special, special talent, and obviously she would be welcome at any time," Goodell said on the Sept. 3 episode of NBC's Today (h/t ESPN's Tory Barron).
When asked if a deal was in the works, Goodell hedged by saying "it's a maybe."
There were rumors floating around recently that Swift had a list of requirements to agree to perform at the halftime show, including retaining ownership rights to the performance footage.
Fans began to assume that Swift was going to be the halftime performer based on what they assumed were easter eggs she was laying down during her appearance on the New Heights podcast in August.
Swift famously leaves bread crumbs for fans to follow about various things related to new music, tours and many other things related to her career, so it wasn't irrational for them to assume some of what she said on the podcast was leading to a Super Bowl reveal.
Instead, it turned out the internet sleuths were heading down the wrong trail.
It was announced on Sept. 28 that Bad Bunny would be performing at the Super Bowl 60 Halftime Show.
There has been plenty of other material from Swift to keep her fans entertained even if they aren't getting a Super Bowl performance. She just dropped her 12th album, The Life of a Showgirl, on Oct. 3 and the accompanying theatrical release made $33 million at the domestic box office over the weekend.
