NBA Rumors: Latest Trade Buzz on Ty Lawson, Nick Young and Danilo Gallinari
Like mosquitoes on a hot summer day, rumors are absolutely buzzing around the NBA.
With most of the notable free agents signing contracts, the majority of the rumblings are centered on trades.
Some are head-scratchers, and others make perfect sense, but all must be taken as serious possibilities. Let's look at some of the juiciest fruits on the grapevine.
Ty Lawson to Sactown?

Shortly after the Denver Nuggets drafted Emmanuel Mudiay, a 19-year-old stud point guard who spent last year in China, Ty Lawson voiced his opinion.
He was going to the Sacramento Kings. Or so he said.
Nothing much has seemed to materialize since then between the Nuggets and Kings, who signed Rajon Rondo to a one-year deal shortly after the moratorium ended.
According to Chris Mannix of Sports Illustrated, though, Sacramento could still be in play.
"One team that could work its way into the mix for Lawson: Sacramento," Mannix wrote. "The Kings are coached by ex-Nuggets coach George Karl, who despite the recent signing of Rajon Rondo would welcome a reunion with his former player, per a league source."
It certainly seems the Nuggets are moving on from Lawson, who has two seasons—and a sensible $25 million—left on his contract. Mudiay has looked impressive in the Las Vegas Summer League, and he figures to be the point guard of the future.
Mannix also reported the Los Angeles Lakers, Detroit Pistons and Houston Rockets "are among the teams that have expressed interest in Lawson recently, and there remains a strong possibility the Nuggets could unload Lawson before training camp."
It wouldn't be surprising in the least bit if Lawson ends up on one of those teams, but the Kings still seem like the heaviest favorite.
Nick Young Cemented in L.A.

Are the Lakers trying to build the first-ever team constructed entirely of scoring guards?
If not, then what are they doing?
After signing free-agent shooting guard Lou Williams to three-year, $21 million deal, the purple and gold were expected to send one of their backcourt players—probably Nick Young—packing.
But according to Bill Oram of the Orange County Register, Los Angeles is set on keeping Swaggy P:
Kobe Bryant, D'Angelo Russell, Jordan Clarkson and Sweet Lou are probably cringing as they think about all the minutes and touches they'll be forced to lose.
Seriously, shouldn't somebody have to go? There appears to be too many cooks in the kitchen here.
At least Oram reported that the team tried. The Lakers should keep trying to trade Young, though, in order to free up playing time for one of the franchise's greatest players (Kobe) and its future.
Nuggets Want Gallo After All

Denver seems very conflicted when it comes to Danilo Gallinari.
Earlier this week, Steve Bulpett of the Boston Herald came out and said the Nuggets had explored a deal with the Celtics involving the 26-year-old:
Now, per Christopher Dempsey of the Denver Post, the team is no longer selling Gallinari but buying him long-term instead. Here's more:
"Wilson Chandler's contract extension could be just the beginning for the Nuggets. If they have their way, they'd like to open talks on an extension for Danilo Gallinari as well, according to a league source.
Gallinari is heading into the final year of his contract, which is scheduled to pay him $11.5 million. He'll be an unrestricted free agent next summer.
"
With Mudiay and Wilson Chandler on board, it makes sense for the team to try to extend Gallinari though it's strange timing given the recent reports about a trade.
Could the team simply be taking the wind out of those trade-talk sails, or does Denver really want to make Gallinari a building block?
Either way, Denver is in a better place now than it was when all the buzz surrounding a Gallo trade emerged.
