Stokes is a 5-star prospect who is listed as the No. 1 player in the country as part of the 2026 recruiting class, per 247Sports' composite rankings. Chavez is also a 5-star prospect and the top player in the country. She committed to Oklahoma in April over Texas and other programs.

"The women's game is on the rise, and Nike and its athletes are a huge reason for that growth," Chavez said as part of the company's announcement. "Partnering with Nike to help grow the game even more is really exciting. I want to show the next generation of young girls that if you put your mind to it, you can achieve it."

Nike also added 5-star prospect Brandon McCoy to its Class of 2025.

As for Stokes, he's received offers from schools including Alabama, Arkansas, Gonzaga, Houston, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisville, North Carolina, Oregon, UCLA and USC.

He recently stood out for the United States in the 2025 FIBA U19 Men's World Cup, averaging 9.7 points and 4.4 rebounds in just 14.7 minutes per game while shooting 70.6 percent from the field. Stokes recorded a triple-double against Jordan in a mere 24 minutes during the competition.

He also has a U17 FIBA World Cup gold medal and a FIBA U16 Americas Championship under his belt.

Meanwhile, Chavez agreed to join Oklahoma on April 17.

She averaged 34.9 points and 9.1 rebounds to go along with 4.3 assists per game during her senior year at Monterey High School, leading her team to a 5A Division II state championship.
