One of the big storylines coming into training camp is whether new head coach Mike Brown will opt for a big starting lineup with Robinson paired with Karl-Anthony Towns, Jalen Brunson, Mikal Bridges and OG Anunoby, or whether he'll go smaller with Josh Hart subbed in for Robinson.
As for the team's mindset, however, the big man said nothing has changed.
"Same approach as last year," he told reporters. "We had a lot of success last season."
Robinson, 27, missed much of the 2024-25 regular season due to injury, averaging 5.1 points, 5.9 rebounds and 1.1 blocks per game across 17 contests. He largely came off the bench in the postseason as well, though the team was arguably better balanced with him in the starting lineup.
It remains to be seen what the approach will be under Brown, but Robinson took an interesting, and organic, approach to his preparations for the upcoming season.
