Former Lakers Star Talen Horton-Tucker Lands Contract with EuroLeague Champ Fenerbahce
Six-year NBA veteran guard Talen Horton-Tucker has officially signed a two-year contract with reigning EuroLeague champions Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul, who announced the move on Saturday.
Donatas Urbonas of BasketNews previously reported the news on Sept. 1.
Horton-Tucker, a second-round pick out of Iowa State in the 2019 NBA draft, spent his first three years with the Los Angeles Lakers before playing two with the Utah Jazz and one for the Chicago Bulls.
Over six seasons, Horton-Tucker averaged 9.2 points on 42.7 percent shooting (29.9 percent from three), 2.8 assists and 2.6 rebounds in 19.5 minutes per contest. He played in 305 games, starting 55.
Last year, Horton-Tucker played 55 games off the bench for the Bulls, averaging 6.5 points in 12.5 minutes per game.
Horton-Tucker joins a team with names fans might recognize, including ex-NBA big man Khem Birch, former NBA guard Wade Baldwin IV, ex-NBA wing Brandon Boston Jr. and former UNC star big man Armando Bacot. Boston and Bacot joined the team this offseason.
Last season's team was led by EuroLeague Final Four MVP Nigel Hayes-Davis, who parlayed his great campaign into a contract with the Phoenix Suns.
