
Draymond Green Explains Why He Stomped on Kings' Sabonis in 2023, 'Gotta Get Him Back'
Draymond Green was suspended for a game during the 2022-23 NBA playoffs when he stomped on the chest of Sacramento Kings big man Domantas Sabonis.
On Tuesday, he told Kai Cenat he stomped on Sabonis because the Kings' center grabbed his leg:

Green offered a similar, if less colorful, explanation back in 2023.
"My leg got grabbed—the second time in two nights—and the referee is just watching. I got to land my foot somewhere, and I'm not the most flexible person, so it's not stretching that far," he told reporters at the time. "I can only step so far with someone pulling my leg away."
Officials hit Sabonis with a technical foul for grabbing Green's leg, while the Golden State Warriors forward was given a Flagrant 2 and ejected. Suffice to say, the NBA wasn't interested in Green's explanation at the time, and given the almost cartoonishly blatant way he stomped on Sabonis, his actions don't seem any more justified two years later.
