NBA's Naz Reid's Sister Toraya Dies at Age 28 After Being Shot in New Jersey

Toraya Reid, who was the sister of Minnesota Timberwolves big man Naz Reid, died at the age of 28 after she was shot in New Jersey.

Bruce Shipkowski of the Associated Press reported Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley Billhimer said Monday that police went to an apartment complex on Saturday morning after receiving reports of shots fired.

They found Reid unresponsive and took Shaquille Green into custody when he was seen running down the road.

Billhimer said Green and Reid had "a dating relationship."

Green was charged with murder and two weapons charges and remained jailed Monday.

Naz Reid has been with the Timberwolves his entire NBA career. The 2025-26 campaign is set to be his seventh with the team.
