LeBron James Attends 2025 Basketball HOF Ceremony as 2008 Redeem Team Inducted

LeBron James was in attendance for the induction ceremony of multiple former teammates as they became members of the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame on Saturday.

The Los Angeles Lakers star was spotted at the festivities while Carmelo Anthony and Dwight Howard were inducted.

James also has ties to Miami Heat governor Micky Arison, who was inducted Saturday, from his tenure with the organization.

Additionally, James was inducted into the Hall of Fame as a member of the 2008 United States men's Olympic "Redeem Team" that won gold at the 2008 Olympics.

As for James and Anthony, they've been linked since their high school days. They were selected with two of the top three picks in the 2003 NBA draft and immediately established themselves as stars, with Anthony leading the Denver Nuggets to a playoff appearance and James simultaneously earning Rookie of the Year honors.

While Anthony spent the majority of his stellar career with the Nuggets and New York Knicks, he teamed up with James on the Lakers during the 2021-22 season. It ended up becoming the forward's final year in the association.

Howard and James similarly started as opponents early in their NBA journeys.

Howard's Orlando Magic took down James and the Cleveland Cavaliers in six games during the 2009 Eastern Conference Finals.

The pair eventually joined forces in Los Angeles ahead of the 2019-20 season, with Howard going on to play a key rotational role in the Lakers' 2020 championship victory.

Howard was also teammates with James and Anthony in Los Angeles during its 2021-22 campaign.

It didn't mark the first time that the trio shared the court, as all three were also part of the "Redeem Team."
