Lillard will likely be sidelined for the entire 2025-26 season, but on the bright side, he's back home in Portland, where he spent the first 11 seasons of his career.

Following a 2023 trade request, Lillard landed in Milwaukee. The Bucks waived Lillard last July, using the stretch provision in the process.

Shortly thereafter, Lillard signed a three-year, $42 million deal with the Blazers. Lillard shined in Portland, making seven All-NBA teams and finishing top eight in the MVP voting on five different occasions.

Lillard averaged 25.2 points and 6.7 assists per game in Portland and was even named to the NBA's 75th Anniversary Team during his time there.

For now, Lillard is engineering a comeback from a tough injury, but he's clearly committed and motivated to have a successful second chapter with the Blazers.
