Crabbe's MRI Results Revealed
Thursday, July 16
Crabbe will miss 4-to-6 weeks after an MRI confirmed he suffered a left ankle sprain, announced the Trail Blazers.
Yahoo Sports' Marc Spears and the Columbian's Erik Gundersen both provided firsthand accounts of the injury on Wednesday:
According to the Oregonian's Mike Richman, "Crabbe appeared to hurt his left ankle when he landed awkwardly with 1:05 left in the second quarter," which would seem to indicate it was a non-contact injury.
CSN Northwest's Jabari Young provided a live look at the Blazers' swingman from press row:
Dallas Mavericks shooting guard Wesley Matthews chimed in with well wishes for his former teammate upon hearing the news:
During his second season with the Blazers, Crabbe averaged 3.3 points on 41.2 percent shooting from the field and 35.3 percent shooting from three while appearing in 51 games and making the first nine starts of his career.
