76ers' Allen Iverson-Era Court Shown in Leaked Photos Ahead of Throwback Jersey Reveal
Hoping to establish some good vibes heading into the new season after a disappointing 2024-25 campaign, a preview of the Philadelphia 76ers' throwback court has leaked online.
The court features a design similar to the one the Sixers had during the 2000-01 season when Allen Iverson won the MVP award and led them to the NBA Finals.
The leak comes amid speculation that the 76ers are bringing back their black jerseys from that era for the upcoming season.
Rumors about the alternate jerseys coming back were further fueled when the Sixers unveiled their 2025-26 schedule with a video featuring clips of current players, as well as stars from the 2000-01 roster.
The 76ers need to do all they can to wash away the bad taste from last season. Expectations were high for the club going into 2024-25 after signing Paul George in free agency to play with Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey.
Any plans the Sixers had to form a new big three were almost immediately thwarted because Embiid missed the first nine games of the season due to ongoing issues with his knee and a three-game suspension for shoving a member of the media in the locker room after a loss to the Memphis Grizzlies on Nov. 2.
Embiid only played 19 games all season, averaging just 23.8 points and 8.2 rebounds per contest. George and Maxey also missed a combined 71 games due to injuries.
The 76ers finished with the third-worst record in the Eastern Conference (24-58). It was their first time with a losing record and missing the playoffs since 2016-17.
