Thunder Reveal NBA City Edition Uniform For 2025-26 Season In Hype Video, Photos
The Oklahoma City Thunder dropped the City Edition jerseys they'll be wearing as they try to defend their NBA title in 2025-26.
The organization called the design "a tribute to the Native and Indigenous cultures that shape Oklahoma's identity and community spirit."
The look is very similar to the City Edition threads Oklahoma City wore in 2018-19. The following year, the Thunder adopted a dark gray and gold jersey that was made to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building bombing in 1995.
Since then, the franchise has largely leaned on its primary color scheme and not done anything too outside of the box with the one-off City Editions.
In conjunction with Thursday's reveal, the Thunder's new jersey will be on display at the First Americans Museum through Sept. 5, allowing fans to get a peek at the full uniform before its on-court debut on Nov. 19.
Oklahoma City tips off the regular season on Oct. 21 against the Houston Rockets. The game is not only a battle between two teams with aspirations of winning the Western Conference but will also see Kevin Durant come back to OKC again. Even though we're nearly a decade removed from Durant's exit, his trips to Paycom Center are always special occasions.
Broadly speaking, Thunder vs. Rockets will be an early barometer for whether the reigning champs are still as good as everyone thinks.
