Knicks' Jalen Brunson, Kobe Bryant's Daughter Natalia Star in Nike Commercial Video
New York Knicks guard Jalen Brunson and Natalia Bryant, the eldest daughter of late Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant, star in Nike's new commercial featuring the Kobe 3 Protro.
The ad takes place in a New York City jewelry store. Bryant and the store owner are working inside. The owner is notably seen talking on the phone with a potential customer and says: "Five rings, one for each finger? Come on down. Bring your wallet." The five-ring comment is assuredly a reference to Kobe Bryant's five NBA championships.
Brunson then walks in the door interested in buying something. One thing leads to another, and an all-white Kobe 3 Protro that Bryant is working on appears. Bryant asks Brunson some questions to see if he's ready to take the shoes, before saying: he "might be ready, but I'm still not convinced."
Before Brunson leaves, though, 2024-25 Gatorade National Girls Basketball Player of the Year Aaliyah Chavez is seen in the doorway. The Oklahoma basketball commit gives a serious staredown before the camera eventually fades to black.
As noted by ESPN's Anthony Gharib, the shoe itself has connections to both Natalia Bryant and Brunson.
"A key feature of the shoes is new diamond shapes on the upper and outsole in honor of Natalia, whose middle name is Diamanté," Gharib wrote.
Brunson loves wearing Kobe sneakers and did so during the 2025 playoffs.
Per Gharib, the all-white Kobe 3 Protro drops Saturday, which would have been Bryant's 47th birthday.
