Paul George Is Last Active NBA Player from 2010 Draft Class After John Wall Retirement
And then there was one.
Following Tuesday's retirement of former NBA point guard John Wall, Philadelphia 76ers veteran forward Paul George is the only active player remaining from the 2010 draft class.

Wall was the No. 1 pick in the 2010 draft by the Washington Wizards, and George was selected by the Indiana Pacers at No. 10. They went on to become two of the most successful members of the class, along with DeMarcus Cousins and Gordon Hayward, as the only players to earn an All-Star selection.
George joined the Sixers on a four-year, $212 million contract last offseason, but the 2024-25 campaign didn't play out the way he hoped. He was limited to 41 games due to adductor and knee injuries and averaged just 16.2 points, his first time averaging under 20 points since 2013-14 when he was limited to six games after recovering from a devastating leg injury suffered in a FIBA World Cup scrimmage.
Despite his disappointing season, George is unlikely to be anywhere else anytime soon. Earlier this offseason, NBA insider Marc Stein shot down any rumors that Philadelphia would trade George as "nonsense."
George will surely be motivated to return to his usual form in 2025-26. If he can stay healthy, he will play a key role in helping the Sixers contend for a playoff spot alongside star center Joel Embiid, star point guard Tyrese Maxey and 2025 No. 3 pick VJ Edgecombe.
