2 Fans Ejected for Inappropriate Remarks at Marlins' Dane Myers During Red Sox Game
The Boston Red Sox confirmed that two fans were ejected from Fenway Park during Sunday's game against the Miami Marlins for shouting inappropriate comments at Miami Marlins' outfielder Dane Myers, per Peter Abraham of the Boston Globe.
Myers responded by hitting a game-tying home run in the top of the ninth inning in Miami's 5-3 win.

He said the heckling began in the eighth inning and continued after his homer.
"Maybe so," he told reporters when asked if the heckling included inappropriate language. "I don't really want to get into that. Probably drinking some beers out there, having a good time. It's a baseball game. I won't get into necessarily what I heard exactly. It's part of the game. I think I need to be a pro and probably handle it just a little bit better."
Myersâwho told reporters he yelled back at the fans, asking if they would talk to him in such a way if they were standing in front of himâsaid that Fenway Park's security staff handled the situation quickly.
"Yeah, they probably had that happen before. They kind of were on it right away," he noted. "Kudos for them kind of stepping in. I wouldn't ever go into the stands or do anything like that. Just kind of letting them know I'm a person, too. I'm a human, too, so I want some respect as well."
It was not a boring day for Myers, who also came painfully close to robbing Wilyer Abreu of a two-run homer in right field, only to see the ball bounce out of his glove and over the fence.
"I don't know if that ball's getting over or not, but to kind of have it in my glove then go over and cost two runs kind of hurt," he said. "I got the chance to make up for it and glad I was able to."
