Candace Parker, TNT Sports Agree to Multiyear Contract Extension

Joseph ZuckerAug 13, 2025

WNBA legend Candace Parker and TNT Sports agreed to a multiyear extension that expands her role in the company's men's and women's basketball coverage.

In addition to working the NCAA men's tournament, Parker's duties will include breaking down TNT Sports' Big East and men's Big 12 offerings. She also remains a lead studio analyst for Unrivaled, the three-on-three women's league co-founded by WNBA stars Napheesa Collier and Breanna Stewart.

"I'm grateful to keep doing what I love with my TNT Sports family," she said. "Getting to cover the Big East, Big 12, March Madness, and now Unrivaled — it all means a lot. These moments are special, and I don't take any of it for granted."

Nate Smeltz, the senior vice president for talent relations and global communications, TNT Sports, praised Parker's contributions.

"Candace is one of the most respected figures in basketball and we’re excited to expand the ways she connects with fans through a growing number of TNT Sports properties," he said.

Parker is one of the greatest players in women's basketball history.

She won two national titles and collected every major individual accolade during her three years at Tennessee. Upon arriving in the WNBA, she was an MVP in her first season.

All told, Parker was a seven-time All-Star and 10-time All-WNBA honoree. She added another MVP in 2013 and became the first player in league history to win a championship with three different teams. She ranks in the top 10 all time in points, rebounds and blocks, and she's 11th in assists.

The Los Angeles Sparks and Chicago Sky both retired Parker's No. 3 jersey this season to honor her contributions to those organizations.

Parker retired in 2024 after playing 13 years in the WNBA and pivoted full time to her broadcasting career, which began in 2018 when she first signed with WBD Sports.
