Lakers' LeBron James Teases 'Nike LeBron 23' Signature Shoe in New Video

Julia StumbaughJul 31, 2025

Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James seemingly shared the clearest look yet at his upcoming Nike LeBron 23 sneakers Thursday on his Instagram story.

James previously sparked speculation about the latest edition of his signature Nike shoe with the all-black colorway he showed off in a practice video on his Instagram story on Tuesday.

James debuted the last version of the sneaker, the Nike LeBron 22, while practicing for Team USA ahead of the 2024 Paris Olympics last summer.

James first collaborated with Nike by debuting his first signature shoe, the Air Zoom Generation, during the 2004 NBA All-Star Weekend.

The signature series most recently made a major silhouette change in 2022 with the LeBron 20, which was the first shoe in the line to feature a low top.

Nike has not yet shared a release date for the 23rd edition of James' signature shoe. The Nike LeBron 22 became available for purchase in September 2024, so there's a possibility the new edition hits shelves before James tips off his 23rd NBA season in October.
