As part of the post, Arenas wrote that the charges "ain't got s--t to do with me," and that he "just rented the house."

Per ESPN's Doug Greenberg, Arenas was arrested Wednesday after being indicted on charges related to illegal, high-stakes poker games that were played at his mansion in Encino, California.

It is alleged in the indictment that Arenas rented out his home, and that "one of his associates" set up the home for illegal "Pot Limit Omaha" poker games.

Five other people were also indicted and arrested in relation to the case, including Yevgeni "Giora" Gershman, who is a suspected "high-level member of an Israeli organized crime group."

Arenas, 43, is best known for his 11-year NBA career with the Golden State Warriors, Washington Wizards, Orlando Magic and Memphis Grizzlies from 2001 to 2012.

The former University of Arizona standout averaged 20.7 points per game in 552 career regular-season contests, and 25.0 points per game over his eight seasons in Washington.

Arenas was named the NBA's Most Improved Player in 2003 with the Warriors before earning three consecutive All-Star selections with the Wizards from 2005 to 2007.

He was also named to the All-NBA third team in 2005 and 2006, and the All-NBA second team in 2007.

Arenas' trial is set to begin on Sept. 23, and he faces a maximum of five years in prison for each of the three charges against him if found guilty.
