
Jazz's Kyle Filipowski Wins NBA Summer League 2025 MVP Award
After his dominance this summer, Utah Jazz forward Kyle Filipowski added some hardware to his mantle.
The NBA announced on Tuesday that Filipowski has been named the NBA 2K26 Summer League Most Valuable Player:

In his three appearances in Las Vegas, Filipowski led all players with 29.3 points per game while also adding 7.7 rebounds and 2.3 assists. He shot 56.1 percent from the field and 39.1 percent from three-point range.
Filipowski gained valuable experience after being selected by the Jazz with a second-round pick in the 2024 draft. He played 72 games as a rookie with 27 starts and averaged 9.6 points, 6.1 rebounds and 1.9 assists. He saw an uptick in usage toward the end of the year, averaging 15.1 points and 7.8 rebounds in March and 14.0 points and 10.5 rebounds in April.
Filipowski will be a key member of Utah's young core alongside 2025 No. 5 pick Ace Bailey, who played two Summer League games in Salt Lake City before sitting out the contests in Las Vegas. 2025 No. 18 pick Walter Clayton Jr. also showed signs of potential this summer, posting 21 points, six rebounds and three assists in his lone Las Vegas Summer League appearance.
The Jazz have failed to make the playoffs in each of the last three seasons, but they should feel confident that Filipowski and the rest of their youngsters will be ready to compete in 2025-26 following a strong summer.
