Lakers Reportedly Inquired About Trades for Wolves' Donte DiVincenzo, Grizzlies' KCP
The Los Angeles Lakers actively explored the market, reaching out to multiple teams in pursuit of a dynamic shooting guard to bolster their roster, according to ClutchPoints' Brett Siegel.
They entered trade discussions with the Memphis Grizzlies regarding former Laker Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and approached the Minnesota Timberwolves about Donte DiVincenzo.
The Timberwolves were reportedly “not at all” interested in moving DiVincenzo, who they acquired from New York last season in the trade involving Karl-Anthony Towns. DiVincenzo averaged 11.7 points, 3.7 rebounds and 3.6 assists last season.

After the Grizzlies traded Desmond Bane to the Orlando Magic, they began fielding trade inquiries for the 12-year veteran shortly after acquiring Caldwell-Pope from the Magic. The Lakers were among those to express interest, but talks never progressed.
The 32-year-old averaged 8.7 points, 2.2 rebounds and 1.8 assists last season as a starter for the Magic. Caldwell-Pope played four seasons in Los Angeles from 2017 to 2021, primarily coming off the bench until his final year.
