Caitlin Clark Jokes Her All-Star Game Coaching Strategy Was 'All 4-Point Shots'
Indiana Fever superstar guard Caitlin Clark became an assistant coach for this year's WNBA All-Star Game after a right groin injury forced her to miss the weekend's festivities.
Naturally, the long-distance sharpshooter wanted her team to take full advantage of the All-Star Game's four-point spot, as she joked with the ESPN broadcast that her strategy was "all four-point shots."

At the time, Team Clark was losing to Team Collier 78-58 late in the second quarter in part because of the four-point shot. Minnesota Lynx forward Napheesa Collier's squad made four more than Clark's crew, accounting for 16 more points.
Clark wanted to fight fire with fire and simply take (and make) more four-pointers. In other words, the best defense was a good offense.
As far as coaching goes, Clark seemed to embrace it well enough and had a lot of fun with it, both before and during the game.
Clark was voted in as an All-Star captain in just her second WNBA season. She played in the All-Star Game last year, helping lead the WNBA All-Stars (Team WNBA) to a 117-109 win over Team USA before the Paris Summer Olympics, where the Americans ultimately won gold.
