Klay Thompson Makes 72 Straight Shots in Viral NBA Offseason Workout Video
Dallas Mavericks guard Klay Thompson sank 72 consecutive shots in a viral video captured by trainer Chris Brickley on Friday, proving he’s not taking the NBA offseason lightly.
Despite posting his third-lowest three-point percentage at 39.1 percent last season—his first with Dallas—Thompson isn’t letting it get to him, putting in work in the gym ahead of the 2025-26 season.

The nearly two-minute video highlights the precision in Thompson’s shooting form following what some called a slump last season, though shooting 41.2 percent from the field for a career low is hardly a major drop-off.
The video nearly mirrors a viral clip of former teammate and fellow Splash Brother Stephen Curry from a few years ago, where the NBA star drained 105 consecutive three-pointers.
For the first time since entering the league, the Splash Bros were separated last season when Thompson was dealt to the Mavericks in a multi-team sign-and-trade.
The 35-year-old capped off his 12th NBA season with a career three-point shooting percentage of 41.1 in addition to averaging 14.0 points per game, 3.4 rebounds and 2.0 assists.
