NBA Summer League 2025 Hot Takes on Bronny, Knueppel, Yang, More from Day 8 Results

Bronny James, Kon Knueppel and Hansen Yang all impressed in their respective NBA Summer League games on Thursday.

James turned in a game high 18 points for the Los Angeles Lakers, Knueppel netted 19 points for the Charlotte Hornets and Yang contributed in every stat category for the Portland Trail Blazers.

Thursday's games marked the end of pool play. The four semifinalists will play on Saturday with two winners moving on to the Summer League championship.

Bronny Scored Game High 18 Points

Bronny James had a second half to remember for the Lakers in their loss to the Celtics. He scored a majority of his game high 18 points in the third quarter.

Kon Knueppel Scores 19, Charlotte Advances to Semifinal

Knueppel helped the Hornets book their place in the final four with 19 points in a double-digit win over the San Antonio Spurs.

Charlotte's 4-0 finish allowed it to join the Oklahoma City Thunder in the semifinal round.

Hansen Yang Continues To Impress

Hansen Yang continued to show off why he is such a fascinating prospect for the Trail Blazers.

The 2025 first-round pick out of China produced eight points, eight rebounds, five assists and three blocks in a win over the Houston Rockets.

The most impressive feat in Portland's win, though, was James Bouknight's 20-point fourth quarter.
