Lakers' Luka, Heat's Bam Adebayo Among Stars at Exclusive Michael Jordan Brand Event
Membership has its privileges when you're a pro athlete signed to Jordan Brand.
According to multiple posts on social media, the apparel company named for NBA legend Michael Jordan recently hosted a party in Athens, Greece. The Los Angeles Lakers' Luka Dončić and Miami Heat's Bam Adebayo were among the distinguished guests:
Both Dončić and Adebayo are signed to Jordan Brand, a fact that may provide fuel for some fan-engineered conspiracy theories with Luka potentially a year out from free agency.
The five-time All-Star can opt out of his contract next summer and the Lakers lack one of the bigger tools a team often has in its arsenal to retain key talent. Los Angeles can't offer him the full five-year supermax extension because that went out the door once the Dallas Mavericks traded him.
Should Dončić test his market, the Heat would presumably want to be among the teams trying to land him. An assist from Adebayo would be helpful in that regard.
Based on what surfaced across social media, that was the furthest thing from the pair's minds. They were primarily focused on enjoying themselves over the weekend and maximizing their time off from the NBA.
