Bradley Beal Reportedly Linked to T-Wolves amid Lakers, Clippers, Warriors Rumors
Bradley Beal is being linked to yet another team this offseason, as the Minnesota Timberwolves have shown interest in the veteran shooting guard, according to Marc Stein and Jake Fischer.
Amid reports linking former Washington Wizards and Phoenix Suns standout Beal to the Los Angeles Clippers, Los Angeles Lakers, Golden State Warriors and Milwaukee Bucks, Anthony Edwards and the Timberwolves appear to be the latest to enter the mix.
Landing in Minnesota alongside fellow veteran Mike Conley and star guard Edwards would likely place Beal in a bench role if the Timberwolves stick with their traditional larger starting lineup. However, they could opt for a smaller frontcourt, featuring Conley at point guard, Beal and Edwards at the two and three, with Julius Randle and Rudy Gobert anchoring the frontcourt—forming a potentially formidable roster in Minnesota.
Stein and Fischer reported that the Clippers are currently the favorites to land the 32-year-old, as the Suns are considering waiving and stretching Beal’s contract. That move would require Beal to surrender nearly $13.9 million of the $111 million he’s owed over the final two seasons of his deal in Phoenix.
A buyout also remains a possibility, which would terminate Beal’s five-year deal and erase his no-trade clause.
