Cooper Flagg's NBA2K26 Rating Revealed in Video Ahead of Mavs Rookie Season
Dallas Mavericks rookie Cooper Flagg will enter his rookie season with an NBA 2K26 rating of 82.
Flagg shared his rating in a video posted Saturday on social media by Ronnie Singh.
"I'm very happy with that. Been playing 2K for a while, so I think that's a very generous rating," Flagg said in the video.
The reveal comes two days after Flagg, the top pick of the 2025 draft, had what he called "one of the worst games of my life" in his Summer League debut with the Dallas Mavericks on Thursday.
Flagg finished out the Mavericks' 87-85 win over Bronny James and the Los Angeles Lakers with 10 points on 5-for-21 shooting, and missed all five of his attempts from deep.
He also made a strong defensive play late in the fourth quarter to help the Mavericks close out the Summer League win.
"The coaches have a lot of confidence in me," Flagg said after the game, per ESPN's Tim MacMahon. "They were telling me they want me to experiment, try some new things. I was trying to be aggressive. That's new for me, too."
The creators of NBA 2K26 clearly believe Flagg will continue growing into the new mindset as he heads into his first NBA season.
Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark, the top selection of the 2024 WNBA draft, became the highest-rated rookie in the game's history with an OVR of 91 ahead of the 2024 campaign.
The San Antonio Spurs' Victor Wembanyama holds the highest NBA rookie rating in the game's history by earning an 84 OVR before the 2023-24 season.
Prior to Wembanyama or Flagg, the New Orleans' Pelicans Zion Williamson set a record as the game's highest-rated NBA rookie when he earned an 81 OVR in NBA 2K20.
NBA 2K26 is set to be released on Sept. 5. The Oklahoma City Thunder's Shai Gilgeous-Alexander will serve as the cover athlete for the standard edition.
