Nike Air Jordan 7 Retro 'Bordeaux' Release Date, Pics and Retail Price
A legendary shoe returns to the market with the release of the Air Jordan 7 “Bordeaux” Saturday.
The “Bordeaux” last took the sneaker game by storm in 2011. While a brief reprieve, Air Jordan isn't wasting any time getting one of the sleeping giants back in the public eye.
Here's a look at the release details, per Sneaker Bar Detroit:
Foot Locker took a look at the eye-popping design:
| Saturday, July 18 | $190 |
Where to start?
It's a rare sort of colorway. Black-gray uppers don't come around often, and neither do red wine-esque background colors and wicked mashups on tongues.
J23 iPhone App provided four angles when revealing the release date:
Sneaker Shouts provided a look at the shoe out in the wild, which hints at the splashing ways of the tongue and innovative, grip-heavy bottom:
For comparison's sake, YouTube user iAmTMCII broke down this new release against the 2011 reissue:
There are plenty of features worth a zoom on this latest issue of the "Bordeaux" design, including the backside to see the "23" design. A top-down view is ideal, though.
Sneaker Bar Detroit has it covered on Instagram:
Inside, the wine color contrasts well with the silver of the Nike logo and with the overarching theme of the shoe.
As far as revivals go, the Air Jordan brand has another market-influencing hit on its hands. This colorway functions well on the court, of course, but was first and foremost an industry leader for its innovative design.
The "Bordeaux" is back to play leader once again. Sneakerheads can get their hands on this must-have edition starting Saturday.
