Hot Takes on Jazz's Walter Clayton Jr., Kyle Filipowski as Ace Bailey Out vs. Thunder
Walter Clayton Jr. had his opportunity to shine for the Utah Jazz at the Salt Lake Summer League on Tuesday with Ace Bailey out.
Clayton led the Jazz with 20 points and knocked down a quartet of three-pointers in Utah's 86-82 win over the Oklahoma City Thunder to close out the Salt Lake Summer League slate.
Clayton's biggest shot of the night was his fourth three-point make that put the Jazz back in the lead late in the fourth quarter.
Clayton starred alongside one of Utah's other young pillars, Kyle Filipowski, in the home-state victory.
Filipowski cruised to a double-double with 18 points and 15 rebounds. The second-year big man had the double-double secured by halftime.
Clayton and Filipowski were joined by Elijah Harkless in double figures. The win sealed a perfect 3-0 record in Salt Lake for the Jazz.
Utah's focus now turns to the Las Vegas Summer League, which begins for the Jazz on Friday against the Charlotte Hornets.
