NBA, Rockets, More Pledge $2M to Texas Communities After Flooding, Astros Commit $1M

The NBA announced Monday that it has partnered with the Houston Rockets, Dallas Mavericks, San Antonio Spurs and the NBA Players' Association to provide $2 million in support toward relief efforts for those affected by the devastating flooding across the Texas Hill Country.

The Houston Astros and Texas Rangers also announced $1 million commitments to support relief efforts:

According to NBC News, at least 95 people are dead across six counties in Central Texas following the flooding over the Fourth of July weekend.

The Astros also announced plans for a fan-based initiative to provide additional resources for those affected.
