Bronny steals the show in his 2025 Summer League debut

“Showtime Bronny” took center stage Sunday as the Lakers rolled to a dominant 20-point win over the Miami Heat.

In his NBA Summer League debut, Bronny James didn’t fill up the box score—he wasn’t the team’s top scorer, rebounder or passer—but his impact was hard to miss. Oh, and he did it all in under 11 minutes of action.

The highlight of the day came early, when he picked off a pass in the first quarter and threw down a steal-and-slam that instantly electrified the crowd and put the spotlight squarely on the next generation of Lakers basketball.

Bronny finished with 10 points, two rebounds and one steal in just 10 minutes and 32 seconds of action, shooting 42 percent from the field.

Spurs def. Warriors, 90-88

Undrafted FA L.J. Cryer is earning a roster spot

After Sunday’s sharp-shooting display, the Warriors may want a longer look at undrafted guard L.J. Cryer, who’s currently with the team on an Exhibit 10 contract for the 2025 NBA Summer League.

The former Houston Cougar was on fire from deep, shooting 75 percent and going 5-of-7 from deep. He finished with 19 points, along with two assists and one steal.

Cryer has long been known for his elite shooting. In his final season at Houston, he knocked down 42.4 percent of his attempts from beyond the arc. Back in 2021–22, he posted a career-best 46.8 percent from deep—numbers that align with his growing reputation as a potential next-gen Splash Brother.

Summer League action resumes Monday in Salt Lake City, where the Oklahoma City Thunder will take on the Philadelphia 76ers. The Memphis Grizzlies and Utah Jazz will close out the night in the final matchup of the evening.
