Hot Takes on Lakers' Bronny James, Dalton Knecht vs. Heat in 2025 NBA Summer League
The Los Angeles Lakers' 2024 draft class had varying performances in the team's 103-83 win over the Miami Heat in the 2025 California Classic Summer League on Sunday.
Bronny James made his 2025 summer league debut, as he didn't suit up in Los Angeles' defeat at the hands of the Golden State Warriors on Saturday.

Knicks Fans Trample JR Smith 😳
The 20-year-old made his presence felt early, throwing down a powerful one-handed dunk in transition.
He finished with 10 points, two rebounds and one steal in just 11 minutes on the floor. James shot 3-of-7 from the field, although he hit two of his five attempts from behind the arc.
The former second-round pick also held his own defensively, leaving fans impressed with his overall performance.
Meanwhile, Dalton Knecht failed to meet expectations.
Knecht finished with just four points in 22 minutes of action, shooting 2-of-7 from the field and missing all three of his long-range attempts.
He pulled down three rebounds and dished out a pair of assists, but also committed four turnovers.
Knecht's perimeter accuracy hasn't continued into the summer despite connecting on 37.6 percent of his triples during the 2024-25 season with the Lakers. He's now 0-of-9 from three through two summer league contests this year.
Fans expressed concerns over Knecht's inconsistent offensive performance.
Knecht will look to get back on track in the Lakers' next summer league matchup, as they're set to face the San Antonio Spurs on Tuesday at 10 p.m. ET.
