LeBron James Says He Can Be a 'Better Player Next Year…Again'

Thomas DuffyJul 13, 2015

LeBron James is sitting comfortably at the top of the good-better-best ladder, but the King believes he can still improve his game heading into next year.

While appearing on Bleacher Report Radio on Sunday afternoon, the Cleveland Cavaliers megastar told Ethan Skolnick and Howard Beck that he believes he can be a “better player next year…again.”

“People always look at me sideways, saying, ‘How could you possibly get better?’” James said. “I just feel like I have a lot of room to improve, either from a basketball side of things or even from a leadership or a mental side of things that can help me be a better player. I’m looking forward to it.”

James said that he would return to working out in late August and then “get back to full strength” with two-a-days in September. He said he’ll have “a few guys from opposing teams” as well as some Cleveland teammates with him in the gym.

On his flight to China in August, James said he’ll watch film from the playoffs and NBA Finals and decide where he needs to advance his game.

While the King does seem to improve every year, it's getting harder and harder to imagine a better LeBron.

If that thought doesn’t strike fear in the hearts of every NBA team outside of the Cavs, nothing will.
