Celtics' Jayson Tatum Posts Workout Video in Walking Boot Amid Achilles Injury Rehab
A month and a half after suffering a season-ending torn Achilles, Jayson Tatum seems to be making some progress.
The Boston Celtics star posted a video of himself working out on Sunday. He's still wearing a walking boot, but appears to be finding ways to get better in the early stages of his rehab process.
Tatum, who suffered the injury in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference semifinals against the New York Knicks, doesn't have an official timeline for a return just yet, though Celtics president of basketball operations Brad Stevens gave a positive update last week.
"We won't put a projected timeline on him for a long, long time," Stevens told reporters "… It's baby steps right now. He's actually progressed great, but I don't know what that means in regard to projected timelines. But that will be in consultation with him … and everybody else to make sure when he hits the court, he is fully ready, and fully healthy. And that will be the priority."
Tatum has also been providing updates for fans on social media, some being more positive than others.
Tatum still has a long way to go before he can get back on the court, but getting in the gym is a good sign that he's doing well.
