Bronny James is reportedly headed back to Las Vegas for the 2025 NBA Summer League.

According to NBA insider Marc Stein, James is "confirmed" to play for the Los Angeles Lakers' summer squad.

He'll have a tough test early, as the Lakers are scheduled to open their slate of games in Las Vegas against Cooper Flagg and the Dallas Mavericks on July 10.

After James was selected by Los Angeles with the No. 55 overall pick in the 2024 NBA draft, he went on to appear in four Las Vegas summer league contests.

He averaged 8.8 points and 3.5 rebounds per game, but shot just 35.0 percent from the field and 15.8 percent from behind the arc.

James appeared in 27 regular-season games during his rookie year, as he was unable to carve out a consistent rotation spot on a Lakers squad that made the playoffs with a 50-32 record. Most of his action occurred with the team's G League affiliate, the South Bay Lakers.

The 20-year-old showed promise in the G League, averaging 21.9 points, 5.3 rebounds, 5.3 assists and 1.9 steals per game on 44.3/38.0/81.5 shooting splits in 11 regular-season appearances with South Bay.

James will headline a Lakers summer league team that should have several intriguing prospects suiting up. Los Angeles selected Arkansas forward Adou Thiero with the No. 36 choice in the 2025 draft before agreeing to contracts with Villanova's Eric Dixon and North Carolina's RJ Davis as undrafted free agents.

As James begins to prepare for his second season in the NBA, he'll look to step up while facing the No. 1 overall pick in the draft.
