Nuggets Post Taco Bell Joke to Troll Nikola Jokic's Viral NBA Draft Moment

Back in 2014, Nikola Jokić was selected with the No. 41 overall pick in the second round of the NBA draft by the Denver Nuggets. The moment was missed by people watching the event, however, as the broadcast was on a commercial break and an advertisement for Taco Bell was instead playing.

The Nuggets haven't forgotten. During the 41st pick of the 2025 NBA draft on Thursday night, the team posted the following on its social media:

This year's No. 41 pick for the Phoenix Suns, guard Koby Brea, has quite the legacy to live up to given his draft slot.

Jokić has provided the whole enchilada for the Nuggets since being drafted—an NBA title, three MVP awards, seven All-Star berths and five first-team All-NBA selections.

His entry into the NBA came with little fanfare, but he's arguably the greatest draft value in NBA history. And it's all because the Nuggets thought outside the bun... er, box.
