ESPN announced that Flagg's debut for the Mavericks will take place July 10 and he will take on a Los Angeles Lakers squad that features Bronny James.

James was a second-round pick by the Lakers in 2024 and spent the majority of his 2024-25 season with the South Bay Lakers of the G-League. Flagg was the top pick of the 2025 NBA Draft.
James appeared in 27 games for the Lakers in 2024-25, making one start. He averaged 2.3 points, 0.8 assists and 0.7 rebounds while playing 6.7 minutes per game. He and his father LeBron James formed the first father-son duo in NBA history.
In the G-League, James averaged 21.9 points, 5.4 assists and 5.2 rebounds in 11 games.
Flagg comes to the Mavericks after a sensational year at Duke where he was named the AP Player of the Year and led the Blue Devils to a Final Four appearance.He averaged 19.2 points, 7.5 rebounds and 4.2 assists in 37 games for Duke and will look to translate into an impact player for the Mavericks.
That highly-anticipated game will tip-off at 8 p.m. ET. on July 10 in Las Vegas.
