2025 NBA Draft Scouting Report for Milwaukee Bucks No. 48 Pick Bogoljub Markovic

B/R NBA StaffJun 26, 2025

The Milwaukee Bucks have drafted Bogoljub Marković with the No. 48 pick in the 2025 NBA Draft.

Marković began his professional career by signing with Mega Basket in Serbia in 2023 and was loaned to OKK Beograd for the 2023–24 season. He averaged 17.9 points, 9.1 rebounds and 2.1 assists that year, led the league in rebounding and earned first-team All-League honors.

Marković was named Junior ABA League MVP in 2024 and ABA League Top Prospect in 2025. The ABA, a regional league featuring top teams from Serbia, has developed a long line of NBA-caliber talent.

At the combine, Marković measured 6'10.5" without shoes, which was tied for the 10th-best mark overall and was No. 3 among non-centers.

Marković shows glimpses of shotmaking, post footwork and short-area passing feel that hint at a versatile frontcourt game.

He lacks ideal strength and doesn’t yet create efficiently or shoot with much consistency. With that said, the flashes are intriguing enough that if his frame fills out or his skill set sharpens, there's real room for growth.

Marković still needs to turn sporadic flashes into sustained traits, but the tools are there for a long developmental runway.

Marković was ranked No. 47 on B/R NBA Draft expert Jonathan Wasserman's 2025 Prospect Big Board.

Previous Team: Mega | Position: PF | Height: 6'11" | Weight: 195 lbs | Age: 19 | PPG: 13.7 | RPG: 6.8 | APG: 2.7 | BPG: 0.8 | FG%: 53.8 | 3PT%: 37.0

Realistic Pro Comparison: Aleksej Pokusevski

Charlotte Hornets v Cleveland Cavaliers

Marković's size and wing skill set remind of Aleksej Pokusevksi, who most recently played for Charlotte in 2023-24 before signing in Serbia's ABA League this past season.

Both players struggle against physicality, but their shoot-dribble-pass fluidity at 6'11" always stands out. At its core, basketball is a game of skill, and having a bag of any size with that frame can be an advantage.

However, Pokusevksi finds himself out of the league after a quiet four-year run, at least for now.

Marković can avoid that by evolving those skills into genuine creation. Any consistency he can add to his jumper will only help boost his role.

Strengths

2 of 3
Serbia v Denmark - FIBA Eurobasket 2025 Qualifier
  • Shotmaking Potential
  • Passing Flashes
  • Post Flashes

Although Marković could afford to add a level of consistency to his jumper, the potential for it to become a weapon is there.

He shot 37 percent on nearly three attempts per game this past season.

Outside of shooting, Marković has other ways to score. He's a particularly good post scorer, but he also acts as a solid finisher in pick-and-roll situations.

Although we don't see Marković put the ball on the floor a ton, he's shown he can do it. That's where he can also put his quiet passing chops on display.

Overall, Marković is a confident scorer who can play both inside and out on offense.

Weaknesses

3 of 3
2025 Nike Hoop Summit
  • Athleticism/Strength
  • Creation
  • Shooting Consistency

While the passing flashes are there for Marković, the real hope is that he can become something of a playmaker, which he's yet to fully show is in his arsenal.

How he reads NBA defenses early on—and how he adapts to the physical, athletic nature of the league—will play a big role in whether or not he can stay on the floor.

How he adapts to it all over the course of his career will influence his ceiling and ultimately determine if he can stick in this league.
