Jrue Holiday Reportedly 'Pissed' About Trade to Trail Blazers From Celtics
After two seasons and an NBA championship, the Jrue Holiday era came to an end in Boston on Monday.
The Celtics shipped the 35-year-old Holiday to the Portland Trail Blazers for the much-younger Anfernee Simons, and Holiday wasn't a fan of the move. Per Heavy Sports' Steve Bulpett, one source said Holiday is "pissed" about being traded to Portland.
โNow, if he winds up staying there, Iโm sure heโll be the professional heโs always been and make a positive contribution,โ the source said. โBut heโs not happy with this deal. Iโll be surprised if Portland doesnโt move him on if they can, because right now he does not want to go there.

โIโm sure if he has to go to Portland, heโll end up going and itโll be OK, but right now they want to be somewhere else. But with that contract, itโs not going to be that easy.โ
It's understandable why Holiday would be a bit upset about being traded to the Trail Blazers. In Boston, he was with a team capable of competing for a title and he had a chance to add a third ring before he called it a career.
He enters polar opposite situation in Portland, where the Blazers will be a stretch to make the playoffs, let alone win a title.
