Cooper Flagg Says Joining Mavs 'Would Be a Great Experience' Ahead of 2025 NBA Draft
Cooper Flagg is going to be the top overall selection at Wednesday night's NBA draft and become a member of the Dallas Mavericks, barring an absolutely shocking trade (which, it should be noted, wouldn't exactly be outside the norm for this particular organization).
And Flagg is excited about the possibility of joining the Mavs.
Flagg has been universally acclaimed as the best player in this year's draft class, and for good reason—he averaged 19.2 points, 7.5 rebounds, 4.2 assists, 1.4 blocks and 1.4 steals per game while shooting an impressive 38.5 percent from three. It's very rare to find prospects who can impact the game as a high-level scorer, playmaker and defender while also stretching the floor.
Flagg is the real deal and should be the face of the franchise for the next decade (unless the Mavs decide to one day trade him to the Los Angeles Lakers). It's about as no-brainer of a decision as you get with the top overall pick.
