Kevin Durant Responds to Fan Saying Rockets Need 'to Fix' Him After Suns Trade
Kevin Durant's crusade against the social media haters continued on Monday.
The star forward, one day after being traded to the Houston Rockets, responded to folks on social media who suggested his posting habits may somehow negatively impact his new team's chances at winning a title.
The Rockets traded Jalen Green, Dillon Brooks, the No. 10 pick in Wednesday's NBA draft and five second-round picks to the Phoenix Suns to acquire Durant, pairing him with Alperen Şengün, Amen Thompson and ostensibly Fred VanVleet to give the team a promising core. They also have young depth pieces in Cam Whitmore, Tari Eason, Jabari Smith Jr. and Reed Sheppard.
Durant should give the Rockets the sort of No. 1 scoring option they lacked, which ultimately came back to bite them in a first-round playoff loss against the Golden State Warriors. And they managed to acquire him without giving up their most promising young players or future first-round draft assets.
So it was a good move for the Rockets, despite what random people on social media, who shoot 20 percent from the field at their local gym, might think.
