Isaiah Hartenstein's Son Sleeps Through Thunder's 2025 NBA Finals Trophy Ceremony

Taylyn Hadley Jun 23, 2025

Not every Oklahoma City fan was able to celebrate the team's NBA Finals win on Sunday night— for some, it was well past their bedtime.

Isaiah Hartenstein’s son wasn't able to soak in his dad’s big milestone, as he was fast asleep and completely unfazed, despite the roaring crowd.

“I don’t know why he’s asleep right now, but I guess it’s not loud enough—so I’m going to need you to get a little louder,” Hartenstein told ESPN’s Lisa Slater while hyping up the crowd.

"I'll tell him about it tomorrow," Hartenstein added.

Elijah James, born on May 23, 2024, is just over one year old.

Hilariously, in the background, teammate and new dad himself, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander seemed more focused on keeping little Hartenstein’s head properly supported. Someone could be heard saying, “Hold his head up,” as SGA offered his hands to help.

Hartenstein added seven points to the Thunder's Game 7 victory, adding nine rebounds, four assists and one steal.
