Kevin Durant Will Complete NBA Uniform Rainbow After Reported Trade to Rockets
Kevin Durant has worn a wide variety of uniforms throughout his impressive NBA career and is set to achieve a unique milestone after he was traded from the Phoenix Suns to the Houston Rockets on Sunday.
Once Durant wears Houston's icon edition jersey, he'll complete a rainbow of jerseys that he's worn during his tenure in the association.
Houston will be the fifth organization that the two-time NBA Finals MVP has played for.
According to ESPN's Shams Charania, the Rockets landed Durant in exchange for Jalen Green, Dillon Brooks, the No. 10 pick in the 2025 NBA draft and five second-round selections.
Acquiring the 15-time All-Star should provide a major boost to a Houston squad that exceeded expectations during the 2024-25 season, clinching the No. 2 seed in the Western Conference standings with a 52-30 record.
While the Rockets ultimately suffered a seven-game defeat in the first round of the playoffs, their future is still bright with a young core that includes Amen Thompson, Jabari Smith Jr. and Alperen Şengün.
Durant remained efficient from all areas of the floor during his 2024-25 campaign, averaging 26.6 points and 6.0 rebounds per game on 52.7/43.0/83.9 shooting splits.
