Windhorst Thinks Suns Are More Likely to Trade Dillon Brooks Than Jalen Green
ESPN’s Brian Windhorst believes the Phoenix Suns are more likely to trade Dillon Brooks than Jalen Green this offseason following the Kevin Durant deal.
"I think it's more likely Dillon Brooks gets re-routed than Jalen Green," Windhorst said on The Hoop Collective podcast.
Sunday morning, it was announced that Durant was traded from the Phoenix Suns to the Houston Rockets in exchange for Brooks, Green, the No. 10 overall pick in next week’s NBA draft and several future picks. However, it appears the Suns may not retain all those assets.
"My understanding is that they're going to be aggressive this week," ESPN's Tim Bontemps said. "They're going to try to retool the roster... this is not the last move they're going to make. So we'll see (what) this team looks (like) in a couple of weeks."
Brooks, a late second-round pick in the 2017 draft out of Oregon, averaged 14 points, 3.7 rebounds and 1.7 assists last season. Green, the No. 2 overall pick in the 2021 draft, finished the season averaging 21 points, 4.6 rebounds and 3.4 assists.
